UTAP pays you back up to $250 or $500 on your course weekend. You claim it yourself, directly with NTUC. Here is exactly what to do, and when.
Open NTUC's step-by-step guideELLEUMINATE does not submit, manage, guarantee or follow up UTAP claims.
ELLEUMINATE is not responsible for any claim that is rejected, reduced, delayed or not paid, for any reason. That includes a missed deadline, a membership that was not paid up, attendance below the requirement, incorrect details or documents, a name that does not match, a course outside the approved period, or any change NTUC makes to its rules or funding.
The full course fee remains payable, and our no-refund policy applies, whether or not your claim is approved. Please check your eligibility with NTUC before you register.
UTAP is a reimbursement. NTUC covers 50% of the nett course fee you paid, up to a yearly cap. For this course, 50% is more than the cap, so the cap is what you can get back.
Yearly cap if you are below 40
Yearly cap if you are 40 or above
The cap covers all your UTAP claims in a year. If you have already used some of it on another course, you can claim only the balance. NTUC works out your age band and balance.
Check every line. If one is missing, NTUC can reject your claim, and the course fee still stays payable.
NTUC counts the deadline conservatively. Its own example: a course ending on 2 January must be claimed by 1 June. Claim as soon as you have your certificate.
Go through the eligibility list above and confirm with NTUC if you are unsure.
Attend the full weekend. You need at least 75% attendance. After the course, keep your official receipt and certificate safe.
You have 6 months from the course end date. Put the date in your calendar the day you finish.

NTUC supports 50% of the nett course fee you pay for an approved course, up to a yearly cap of $250 if you are below 40, or $500 if you are 40 or above. The cap covers all your UTAP claims that year.
6 months after the course end date. NTUC counts conservatively (its example: a course ending 2 January must be claimed by 1 June), so claim as soon as you receive your certificate. Late claims are rejected and we cannot reopen or extend a deadline.
The amount you actually paid out of pocket, after any other subsidies, as shown on your receipt. NTUC works out the UTAP amount from that figure.
The year the course starts. A course that starts in one year and ends in the next uses the balance of the year it began.
Yes, as long as the total stays within your yearly cap.
